Target CGPA Calculator — Required Future SGPA

Calculate the credit-weighted grade-point average you need across your remaining credits to reach a target CGPA.

How to use this calculator

Use credits counted in your official CGPA, not simply the number of semesters. The result is the average needed across all remaining credits. If remaining semesters carry different credits, their simple SGPA average will not be enough. Repeated subjects, grade replacement and excluded courses must follow your institution’s rules.

Formula and worked example

Required future average = [target CGPA × (completed credits + remaining credits) − current CGPA × completed credits] ÷ remaining credits.

A current 7.5 over 60 credits needs a 9.5 average over the remaining 20 credits to finish at 8.0.

What this result does and does not tell you

The calculation uses only the numbers you enter. It does not retrieve institutional rules, predict your actual marks or replace your official transcript. Use the unrounded value when deciding whether a target is met, and check your institution’s rounding and pass requirements.

Does this calculator save my marks?

The new calculator processes inputs in your browser and does not send or save your marks. Reloading the page restores the example values.
