How the formulas are handled

Grade conversion formulas are treated as claims that need a source. Where an ordinance, circular or examination manual has been read, the formula is marked verified and the document is linked with the date it was read. Where it has not, the formula ships labelled not verified — because a wrong percentage on a job or admission form is a misrepresentation, not a rounding error, and an unsourced badge would be worse than no badge at all.
